Khalwale is known for posting the results of his children during the past years of the release of the exams. The politician had at least one child sitting for the National exams from 2016 to 2019.

In 2014, his daughter, Linda Khalwale, was among the top candidates with 428 marks in KCPE.

In 2016, the former senator celebrated Engine's KCPE performance after he scored 400 marks.

In 2017, he publicly congratulated his daughter Flava and son Steve for scoring 407 and 406 marks respectively in KCPE.

In 2018, Khalwale celebrated his daughter Olivia Sabayi for excellent performance while in 2019, he congratulated his daughter Gift Atubukha Khalwale for getting 396 marks.

In the recent KCPE 2020 results, Khalwale was forced to congratulate the country's best performing student Faith Mumo, after Kenyans online noted that he had not posted any of his children.

"Due to public demand, I take this early opportunity to congratulate our 2020 KCPE graduates for making their teachers and parents proud. I wish all of you a great future," Khalwale said.

Magoha, while releasing the results, noted that the class of 2020 had recorded an improvement as compared to the class of 2019.

He added that the Ministry would ensure a hundred percent transition into universities and tertiary institutions.
