Govt Announces Job Opportunities & Free Cash For Businesses, How to Apply

Graduates and non-graduates can now afford a smile after the National Government invited applications for job opportunities and free cash for businesses in form of grants.

The government through the Kenya Youth Employment and Opportunities Project (KYEOP) announced the opportunities and grants on September 9 through a statement seen by Kenyans.co.ke.

The youth who have been marginalized can now be assured of the government’s commitment to their empowerment through KYEOP, which will be implemented in seventeen counties.

“The initiative seeks to create employment and also, creating income opportunities for the youth aged between 18-29 years,” read part of the statement.

The government is inviting the youths to apply for the Cycle 7B for those interested in training and internship, business grants, or support.

Both the graduates and non-graduates will be accorded training and internship opportunities.

Those from Kakamega, Bungoma, Kilifi, Nyandarua, Kwale, Kisii, and Bungoma are encouraged to apply for the training and internship opportunities.

Those interested in entrepreneurship can apply for business grants or support from all the 17 counties where KYEOP is being implemented.

They include;Nairobi, Mombasa, Nakuru, Kwale, Kakamega, Migori, Bungoma, Kisii,Turkana, Machakos, Kitui, Kilifi, Nyandarua, Kiambu, Kisumu, Mandera and Wajir.

How To Apply

The application duration is from September 7 till September 21, with each interested candidate required to fill out an application form available on the KYEOP website.

Even one can access the application forms at the Ministry of ICT, Innovation and Youth Affairs Sub-county office in the 17 counties.

“Beneficiaries will not pay for any of the activities under KYEOP,” the statement cautioned those interested in applying.
