The CS was buoyed up by the warm reception she was accorded by her Ministry's staff.

Through her social media pages, the CS lauded her friends and colleagues at the Ministry for their kindness and the gifts presented to her.

“I appreciate you for all those thoughtful gifts you brought my way to celebrate the bigger gift of life and most importantly thank God for the opportunity to serve together."

“To my Heads of Department, influencing your teams through example isn’t the main highway to success, it is the only one. May God bless our beloved Country and bless the works of your hands,” Karoney appreciated them.

She added that her lands reform agenda was paramount and that she would not hesitate nor relent in ensuring its success.

“In the words of Confucius, the man who moves a mountain starts by moving small stones. The land reform agenda is one that will transform land administration in Kenya in a very profound way."

“I thank you all for your dedication to our strategic objectives. Let’s go the extra mile, I assure you the last mile stretch is not crowded at all,” she added.

President Uhuru Kenyatta and the Lands CS, on Tuesday, April 27, launched the National Land Information Management System (NLIMS) dubbed Ardhi Sasa as part of its digital transformation plan under Karoney's leadership.

Karoney stated that the idea behind digitising the Ministry of Lands and Physical Planning was to ease property registration, introduce transparency in land administration and management in the manner stipulated in the Constitution: Transparency, equity, non-discrimination and to protect the rights and responsibilities of property owners.

She added that they are creating a cadastre of available public lands, creating transparency that will attract and protect investors and eliminate middlemen and brokers who hike costs through brokerage services and cartels.
