Festus Lang'o, who doubled up as an Inooro radio presenter and TV reporter, has exited the Royal Media Services station.

Making the announcement on Facebook, Lang'o expressed gratitude to his audience for the support they had accorded him throughout his journey at the media house.

Further, he thanked his bosses for opportunity to serve at the station for four years.

"It's a journey that started four years ago and I would like to thank my immediate former bosses Mercy Oburu, Collins Okoth, Sammy Kigo (former Asst. HR) and Patrick Rukwaro for believing in me," Lang'o wrote.

"They decided to hire me since they thought I was the best among the 14 applicants that expressed interests and its my trust that I did not disappoint them."

The presenter added he would soon announce his next destination.

Before joining Royal Media Services, Lang'o was a sports journalist with Star TV, which is under the Sahara Media Group in Tanzania.

With the heightened political season and an election coming in 2022, journalists are being poached from one media house to another.

In November, seasoned journalist, Anne Mawathe, left the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) to pursue other interests.

Mawathe served as the Africa Health Editor for three years and led the health teams across various African markets.

She will be joining Reuters, an international news organisation owned and run by Thomson Reuters and that employs over 2,500 journalists globally.

In October, journalist Brian Obuya quit KTN and joined NTV to pursue special projects.
