Churchill Show has officially left Nation Media Group's NTV and is seeking a new partnership with another media house.

A source aware of the situation told Kenyans.co.ke, that Churchill Show's parent company, Laugh Industries was seeking a partnership with TV47.

However, details of the partnership were not yet made public. Further, reports indicated that Churchill Show and TV47 were still in negotiations and there were numerous agreements that needed to be reached.

Reports had revealed that Churchill Show will be taping at Mount Kenya University (MKU) in early March as they plan to relaunch the whole show on TV47.

The grand opening is reportedly set to be at MKU in two weeks' time and various artists were contacted to perform as the production team promises a bigger and better event.

Churchill Show is seeking to make a comeback on TV in March 2022, after their deal with NTV failed to materialize due to logistical disagreements.

A source privy to the Churchill Show and NTV intimated that the deal failed since the two parties did not agree on the cost of production. Reports also indicated that Comedian Churchill Ndambuki was using production equipment from his other company to facilitate the show.

The new director of Churchill's show will be Leonard Kitili after the exit of celebrated music producer and videographer J. Blessing.

In 2021, Churchill Show, the stand-up version, made a return after managers announced a physical event where tickets were selling at Ksh 5,000 per person.

The General Manager of Churchill Show who spoke to Kenyans.co.ke at the time, stated that the show was to be filmed at Lake Naivasha Resort with adherence to safety guidelines stipulated by the Ministry of Health.

He further noted that nine presenters, including MC Jessy, were expected to perform at the event which will be aired on Sunday evening, February 14 on NTV.

The manager further revealed that the event was targeting individuals that would book accommodation at the resort or nearby hotels to beat curfew demands by the state.

Asked whether the return of the stand-up meant the end of the Churchill Show Journey Series, the manager explained that the recorded comedy show would first air two episodes as the team awaits government directive on public gatherings.
