Celebrated actress Lupita Nyong'o's face is once again a worldwide meme after she was caught on camera expressing shock after King Richards Star, Will Smith, slapped comedian Chris Rock.

Dubbed as the supporting actor of 'The Slap', Nyong'o, who was seated next to Smith, was visibly shocked at the turn of events during the Sunday, March 27, live broadcast.

It all started with Rock's joke touching on Smith's wife Jada Pinkett's buzz haircut, noting that he looked forward to seeing her star in a G.I. Jane sequel. G.I. Jane is a 1997 film sporting a heroine with buzz haircut.

Pinkett was annoyed by the joke and rolled her eyes prompting Smith to head straight to the stage and slap the comedian.

When he returned to his seat, he yelled at Rock to “Keep my wife’s name out of your mouth," twice. Lupita, who was beside the actor, expressed shock at the Smith's action.

Her fans quickly took to social media platforms hailing her for aptly capturing the emotions of the whole world at that moment.

"Congratulations to Lupita Nyong’o for winning best actress in a supporting role for “The Slap”," stated a fan.

"Lupita Nyong’o has now been part of two (2) iconic Oscars moments," noted Rachel Simon, a writer featured in the New York Times referring to a photo from the 2014 Oscars that became the most retweeted photo on Twitter.

Away from the meme world, Nyong'o also stunned the red carpet with her Prada dress and well-done hair that has a back story.

According to Vogue, the US actor wore a gilded Prada gown that was embellished with sequins, paillettes, and beaded bloom bursts.

Her hairstylist, Vernon Francois also told the publication that the hair the star wore to the red carpet was inspired by African figures in classical Greek art.

“It’s a sister-locks updo with a soft, graceful, glamorous feel influenced by what Lupita is wearing and the occasion. The asymmetrical, hand-sculpted shape echoes the floral design in Lupita’s dress while elongating her neckline,” stated the stylist.
