The Director of Communications in the Office of the Deputy President Emmanuel Talam on Saturday, April 9, sensationally claimed that Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter, who recently joined the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), was an Azimio la Umoja mole.

Speaking during the burial ceremony of UDA parliamentary aspirant Wesley Kogo in Taito, Nandi Hills, Tallam claimed that Keter was publicly purporting to campaign for UDA while sabotaging DP William Ruto's campaign at night.

He accused the legislator of using the party to campaign for himself on one hand while covertly stating that the country's Second in Command will never become president.

"I have come to tell you that Keter is not in UDA. We do not want someone who will come here to ask for votes yet when he is in the confines of his car, he makes calls telling people that Ruto cannot become the president. We know what he has been saying in night meetings," Ruto's aide stated.

He further dared the MP to come out come clean on his stand and openly reverberate what he has been whispering in private.

His sentiments were reiterated by Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, who revealed that he had tried to speak to Keter about his alleged political waywardness. Sudi intimated that his attempts to toe the MP back in line were in vain and called for his ouster.

"I have spoken to Keter but he seems to have a lot of pride. You have my blessing, send him home for five years so that he can go and rethink about where the rains started beating him," the outspoken MP stated.

"We have been suffering in Nairobi because President Uhuru Kenyatta, whom we campaigned for, betrayed us. I want to assure you, that Ruto will become president come August 9 and that is why you see us going around stating that we do not want any leader from our community who will not walk in the same direction with us," Sudi added.

The allegations against the vocal MP come barely a month after he was officially welcomed to UDA on March 2, by Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua. Keter who will defend his seat in the August 9 polls will face it off against businessman Robert Chekwony.

Kogo had also been a strong contender for the UDA ticket in the Nandi Hills parliamentary race - but passed on just days before the nominations .

Talam's allegations come just days after Nakuru Senator, Susan Kihika addressed word going round that she had been kicked out of a UDA meeting for being a Jubilee Party mole.

The Senator laughed off the allegations affirming that she would never betray UDA. Kihika noted that the rumours were being peddled by some Jubilee bloggers who were out to create friction among leaders in UDA.

"I have been falsely accused of many things in my political career but never of being a Jubilee mole in UDA. It’s the high octane political season where anything goes. But it's ok, I have forgiven you, God is in control," she stated.
