Agriculture Cabinet Secretary, Peter Munya, lost his cool and ordered a supporter of Deputy President William Ruto out of his rally after his speech at Tharaka Nithi County was interrupted.

In his address on Wednesday, May 11, Munya castigated Ruto's supporter for telling him to stop talking about the DP at the rally.

The CS confronted the supporter stating that he had organised the meeting insisting that he had the right to speak about anyone in his meeting.

"You who is telling me to leave him (Ruto) alone, I will tell you to leave the meeting. Do not come to talk to me in my meeting.

"If you want to go to his home, you can go. What are you still doing here? I am not in his politics. Why have you come here? I am not a person who can be told what to do," he ranted as his supporters cheered him.

Further, Munya blamed the DP for incomplete projects in the county stating that they were launching projects that had not been approved by the government.

The CS stated that Ruto allies were blaming President Uhuru Kenyatta for the stalled projects yet they were not sanctioned by him.

"I will even talk about the projects he (Ruto) and his lieutenants have launched and left incomplete in this county. There are road and water projects that have stalled because of them.

"Leaders supporting him have failed to complete projects then they are blaming it on Uhuru. All these people who are stating they are projects are incomplete are the ones who have been contracted to do the projects," he stated.

Munya has been an ardent defender of President Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and has previously locked horns with Ruto allies over their attacks on the Azimio leaders.

On April 10, Munya confronted first term Igembe South Member of Parliament, John Paul Mwirigi after the legislator stated that he was willing to return a car given to him by Uhuru after winning in the 2017 polls.

"John Paul Mwirigi is an example of President Uhuru Kenyatta's good work in this region. He was invited to State House and the President personally bought him his first car. He should know that you do not disrespect someone who has adopted you as a son," he stated.
