Tina Kagia Quits Nation FM

Radio presenter Tina Kaggia on Thursday, June 30, announced that she has would be leaving Nation FM after nearly two years at the station.

Kaggia made the revelation live on air during her morning show, The Morning Fix, which runs from 6-9 a.m every Monday through Friday.

She described her last show as 'the best ending' having hosted her brother Dennis Kaggia, popularly known by his stage name DNA.

"I am done with this up until 10. Thank you for giving me your time as I did yours."

"I am grateful that my brother has been the last guest that I have had on this platform and so I am content," the radio presenter stated amid tears.

In a statement by DNA, he hinted that the radio star would be venturing into content creation on video-streaming platform - YouTube.

"This is her last show on Nation FM today. Let us meet on YouTube because we are cooking! God is the greatest. 2022 is mega," he reiterated.

A number of supporters took to social media to celebrate the veteran radio journalist, wishing her grace in her future endeavours. Others frowned upon her decision to take a break from the mic, pleading her to stay in the industry.

Tina joined the Nation Media Group -owned station in September 2020 where she hosted the morning show alongside DJ E and DJ .

Before Nation FM, she worked as a promoter for a local sports betting firm which closed operations in the country. She also launched her own content venture Nyumbani Radio and also ran a podcast.

Kagia has had an enviable career at Radio Africa Group's Classic 105 and 1FM.
