The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has introduced an SMS service that will assist motorists to verify fuel prices and even whether petrol station attendants are registered employees.

EPRA's move to create USSD *363# and SMS services was attributed to increased cases of filling stations selling adultered fuel and some illegally hiking prices.

Services that can be confirmed via SMS include pump prices, employee details, reporting accidents and complaints, checking the details of a license, and truck verification.

The short SMS code can also be used by students who are pursuing courses related to EPRA or those seeking to know the status of their exams.
