Meet Kenyan Supermodel Quietly Dominating Global High-end Fashion

A quiet lifestyle on social media may be the reason Kenyans are not cognizant of the marvel that is Judy Kinuthia.

Standing at 5 feet 11", the Kenyan beauty has turned heads at some of the most iconic fashion stages around the world.

A look at her profile published by Models gives one a glimpse of just how successful Kinuthia is despite her keeping a low profile on social media.

Kinuthia debuted her international modelling career at Prada on the exclusive for Season 2019. She went on to work for Spanish luxury fashion house, Loewe, founded in 1846 and is currently LVMH's oldest luxury fashion house.

The 5'11'' beauty has hit the runway for the Italian luxury fashion house, founded in 1960 by Valentino Garavani and part of Valentino Fashion Group, Maison Valentino.

She has worked for the notable French fashion house, Hermès which was established in 1837. It specializes in leather goods, lifestyle accessories, home furnishings, perfumery, jewellery, watches and ready-to-wear accessories. 

Kinuthia is also not a stranger to Balmain shows having worked for the French luxury fashion house that was founded by Pierre Balmain in 1945. The brand is one of the most beloved among celebrities around the world including by American socialite, Kim Kardashian, and her family.

Judy has appeared in photo sessions for notable photographers such as Solve Sundsbo & Brigitte Niedermair for Vogue Italia, Sarah Moon for Dior Magazine and Richard Phibbs for Vogue Greece Cover.

Kinuthia walked on the runway during the A.P.C. Ready to Wear Spring/Summer 2020 show as part of Paris Fashion Week on September 30, 2019, in Paris, France.

In 2019, she also walked at the Ralph And Russo's Autumn Winter show in a couture dress showered with ruby stones and pearlescent sequins in a floral design, enriched with 3D beaded petals and finished with red and lavender devoré ostrich feathers.

"I'm so humbled to walk for this amazing show. Thank you so much for having me and also to the beautiful team behind it," she shared after working with Italian luxury fashion house, Armani.
