Since 2017, Wafula Wanyonyi Chebukati served as the chairman of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) and managed to keep his family out of the limelight.

Unknown to the public, however, is that Chebukati's nuclear family consists of his wife Mary and three children Emmanuel, Jonathan and Rachel, who have all achieved their own milestones.

Emmanuel, for instance, is a very respected player in the engineering industry across the region having amassed more than seven years experience in systems auditing, application security, and secure cloud deployment.

In 2017, he co-founded the regional data analytics company, Hepta Analytics, headquartered in Rwanda with an office in Nairobi. The company specialises in data science and analytics practices aimed at transforming raw data into information and insights that empower businesses to make informed decisions.
