Further, Uhuru appreciated the Nakuru youth for expressing her admiration of him even as he thanked her for acknowledging the efforts of his administration.

Immediately after, all attendees burst into laughter as the president proceeded to deliver his speech.

Uhuru was hosting over 25,000 youth during his development tour of the Rift Valley county which received a city status in December last year.

In his speech, the president detailed his achievements while in office, listing the creation of the Naivasha economic zone as one of his legacy projects.

He called upon the constituents to rally behind him and support the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya candidate, Raila Amollo Odinga, in the upcoming August 9 polls.

Uhuru explained that the ODM boss was better placed to continue with his legacy projects, adding that Raila needed numbers in the National Assembly and the Senate to implement his agenda.

"The time I went to shake hands with Raila, did I do anything wrong? Don't be cheated by people who will not bring development to you. We do not want to be divided but to live together in harmony," he stated.

The Azimio council chairman is on a development tours across the country even as he bids farewell to Kenyans.

This was his second day in Nakuru county and launched other projects such as the refurbished Nakuru railway station.
