Githunguri Member of Parliament-elect, Gathoni Wamuchomba on Tuesday, September 6, blamed Kameme FM presenter, Gatonye Mbugua for constantly berating her during live shows.

In a statement, Wamuchomba alleged that Gatonye would mention her name with contempt on multiple occasions during the electioneering period.

She further revealed that the constant reproach from Gatonye and other presenters at the station dented her taste for the popular vernacular radio outlet.

"As I thank God for my win and that of the president-elect, William Ruto, I wish to let go of the bitter burdens you laid on my shoulders all along."

"I don't know how many times you mentioned my name but I bet you did so contemptuously. I stopped listening to your station but my supporters bitterly reported to me how you and your colleagues disregarded me on air."

"At one time you said you don't know who would win 2022 parliamentary seats but you were sure who would not win and that was Wamuchomba. I cried, wept to my God, and reminded Him of my commitment to serve the meek as I have always done. I pleaded for mercy and asked brethren to pray for me," she claimed.

The MP-elect alleged that the presenters misinformed Kenyans on matters regarding the Githunguri constituency.

"During the UDA party nominations day, your colleagues went on and announced that I had lost even before votes were tallied. You went on the next day to repeat the same mess yet I had won with over 7,000 votes! People are sensitive to misinformation and were bitter."

She issued an ultimatum to Mbugua to retract his statement and give a response for allegedly picking on the mp-elect.

"As a woman leader, and a media professional I request you to withdraw your statements and position and provide a right of reply to me and other leaders you contemptuously regarded."

"This applies to other presenters in your station. If you don't I will not go to court. I will leave you to God. If you do, I will forgive you and move on," she stated.
