Jubilee vice chairman, David Murathe, and his son Davidson Wakairu Gatuhi are currently enjoying their vacation in Dubai. 

Sources close to the Murathe family detailed that the two proceeded to Dubai a month after the August 9 General Election to unwind following the hotly contested polls. 

The duo was said to have stayed in Dubai for a week, where they also handled business matters. Murathe and Wakairu posed for photos near the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. 

Photos of Murathe and his son on holiday surfaced a few days after reports claimed that the politician was barred from leaving Kenya.

The Jubilee vice chairman, campaigned for Azimio La Umoja flagbearer Raila Odinga who lost to President William Ruto. 

Murathe is said to have interests in various sectors, while his son manages three companies.

One is a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) that empowers youth across the country; politically, socially and economically.

It also champions sustainable environment and green energy. 

He is also the President of Davidson Wakairu Gatuhi (DWG) Holdings and DWG Wines, companies that market and promote wines. 

The holiday comes a few months after Wakairu celebrated his 30th birthday in the company of Manchester City's new signee, Erling Haaland in Marbella, Spain. 

Wakairu expressed gratitude for a chance meeting with the Premier League top scorer in Spain.

"Enjoy life today, yesterday is gone and tomorrow is not promised," he stated.
