Kenyan photographer attached to the office of the US Vice President, Polly Irungu, excited netizens after recalling her mother's reaction upon informing her that she was boarding Air Force Two.

In a statement dated October 10, Irungu revealed that her mother, Jane Irungu, panicked after informing her that she was on board of the aircraft designated to carry US VP Kamala Harris.

She added that her mother was so worried that she began to pray for her daughter's well-being.

"Note to self. When you call your mom from Air Force Two, make sure you tell her in advance that nothing is wrong. She asked the operator if everything was ok and started praying," Irungu stated.

Shortly after, the photographer's mother responded stating that she was just acting on her intuition creating a light moment from the incident.

"True story! Just the motherly instinct. Next time I will be calm. I promise," she responded.

The photographer then responded to her mother's statements with a smiley emoji as she expressed her love to her mother.

Irungu's revelation saw Kenyans create a light moment with many recalling how mothers can be protective of their children despite being okay.

"You forgot that you have an African mother. Always start with, 'Everything is going great,' then proceed with 'how are you?"  Congratulations though. Enjoy every moment!" Chabeba Tuja stated.

You should have talked to her calmly. 'Hey, mom, have you eaten? How is everyone?' after that, you then break the news," Carter Pewter echoed.

Irungu was appointed as the official photo editor in the Office of the US Vice President in July.

She is also the founder of  Black Women Photographers (BWP), which is a platform which incorporates the artwork of over 1000 black photographers.
