Crowne Plaza Nairobi Airport Hotel was crowned as Africa's overall best luxury hotel during the 2022 World Luxury Hotel Awards held on Monday, October 24.
The hotel, which is a 3-minute drive away from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) terminals, emerged top beating 644 other entrants across the continent.
The hotel was picked for its tranquillity and state-of-the-art facilities that attract visitors, especially those arriving in the country from JKIA.
Speaking after receiving the news, the Crowne Plaza Nairobi Airport hotel’s General Manager, Barnabas Wamoto, stated that it was heart-warming to receive the award after a rigorous voting exercise.
"Considering the ratings and votes are based on our guests and industry players' personal experiences at our facility, this award further recognizes Crowne Plaza Nairobi Airport's efforts to provide a unique luxury Kenyan Airport hotel experience to our local and international guests.

The hotel received the recognition after 300,000 international travelers voted during a four-week period to select the winner.
During the voting period, the hotel showcased its unique selling point and features that impressed voters across the globe, emerging as the best Airport hotel in Africa.
