Kenyans seeking to be employed by the Government now have a chance to showcase their skills after Nyeri County advertised vacant positions in 11 departments.
In a public notice dated Tuesday, November 1, interested applicants were urged to submit their relevant documents before Thursday, November 10 at 5 pm.
Job vacancies have been announced in the following departments; Governor's Office, Education, Lands & Physical Planning, Urban Development, Housing & Energy, County Public Service & Public Administration, Water, Irrigation & Environment.
Others are Health and Services, Transport, Roads & Infrastructure, Finance & ICT, Economic Planning, Agriculture, Livestock & Fisheries as well as Gender, Social Services, and Sports.
Applicants were also warned against making payments at any stage of the recruitment process.
"Any request for payment or favor should be reported to the police or to the County Public Service Board,"
How to apply
Interested candidates should visit the county government website, www(dot)nyeri(dot)go(dot)ke for information.
"The full details of the job descriptions, requirements for an appointment, and the Employment Form can be accessed on the Nyeri county government public website," read part of the notice.
Also, a hard copy of duly filled Employment Forms attached together with the copies of academic, professional, and testimonials can either be sent or hand-delivered to the Secretary of the Nyeri County Public Service Board.
All information from the county shall be divulged through the Public Service Board and the official contact details.
Some of the tasks include day-to-day administration and coordination of the respective county department and providing strategic policy direction for effective service delivery in the departments.
Requirements
All applicants must be Kenyan citizens and should hold a first degree in a relevant field from a recognised Kenyan university.
They should also possess ten years of experience in a relevant professional field and at least five years of experience in a leadership position at a Senior Management level in a Public Service or Private Sector Organisation.
