President William Ruto on Thursday, November 3, pledged to continue working with his predecessor, Uhuru Kenyatta's cabinet despite leaving office.
While hosting a farewell party for the former CSs, Ruto acknowledged the work the ministers had done stating that he would not disregard their input in his government.
Further, the head of state wished them well as they proceed to other assignments.
"I think it is good to appreciate one another and work with one another in this manner.
"I also want to tell everyone as I said earlier, I look forward to working with you in different capacities as good citizens of our country and as leaders," Ruto stated.
Ruto hosted Uhuru's CSs at State House Nairobi and was accompanied by his cabinet members sworn in after his inauguration.
Uhuru's Cabinet team was led by former Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua, who left government after decades as a civil servant.
During the party, the head of state shared a meal with the set of Cabinet.
The team was also entertained at the event with jazz music which was played in the background.
Ruto's gesture earned him accolades from his team who expressed that the party was part of the president's plan in ensuring that there is a smooth transition from Uhuru's cabinet to his.
