Political analyst Herman Manyora on the evening of Monday Novemebr 14, revealed why he has not been appearing in the media since former Prime Minister Raila Odinga lost elections.

Speaking through his YouTube channel, the vocal political commentator stated that he took a break to avoid being part of cheap talk witnessed after President William Ruto's win.

“It was just a short break I will be back. I have no wounds that am nursing, actually I am a doctor. As a doctor if a patient dies you look for another patient. You don't start mourning,” he stated.

"There was a lot of cheap of talk and I get irritated by cheap talks,” he added.

Speaking about Kivutha Kibwana quitting elective politics, he explained that he has been the greatest politician in Kenya and he was just paving way for the young leaders.

The University of Nairobi lecturer also addressed a move by Azimio leaders to join Ruto's Kenya Kwanza.

“Unlike me, these people have been in power and they have tasted money that's why they are okay with being giving small roles to remain in power. A person who has been a minister rushing for an assistance minister role. I don't blame them,” he noted.

He added that the leaders should know that crawling to other parties will not make the president sympathize with them.

“When you are defector, the one you are running to see you as cheap. He will not respect you,” he explained.

He urged Azimio Members of Parliament to remain in their parties and engage the president as opposition to gain respect from him.

Before the August general elections, Manyora predicted that Raila Odinga would win the polls. He however claimed that he would act as caretaker president by holding brief at the house on the hill before the main person, whom he did not name.

He claimed that Raila had mounted a well-oiled and strategic campaign that resonated well with voters across the political divide.

Manyora stated that Ruto’s waning popularity could have been traced back to his “wrong” choice of a running mate and Azimio’s tact in using corruption as a campaign tool against the Kenya Kwanza duo.
