The business man's body was later found in Kieni Forest with Kiambu police indicating that he was killed inside his house in Mang'u before his body was dumped into the forest.

The victim's body was found wrapped in a polythene bag buried beneath a pile of cartons on October 12, 2022.

George Mwangi had just returned from a trip to Kigali and was to fly back to Kigali before he met his death.

Police arrested Gladys Chania and charged her with murder alongside her new employee Morris Kamau Mbugua.

According to court details, Mwangi had worked at the home of the couple for four years and allegedly failed to return home after he was sent to deposit some money on Mpesa.

After his release by the court, Mwangi will now testify in the case against his former boss who is the prime suspect.

Gladys Chania is currently remanded at the Lang'ata Women’s Prison and is set to appear before the court on November 29, 2022.

Chania had been married to the businessman for 28 years before she planned his gruesome murder according to detectives handling the case.

The politician's plan against her husband were hatched after she learned about her husband’s alleged love affair with another woman.

Chania unsuccessfully vied for the Kiambu Woman Representative seat in the August 9 elections.
