The Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) on Wednesday, November 23, celebrated one of its dependable photojournalists who handles video and photography at the Kiambu road-based agency.

In a statement, DCI revealed that Dominic Mwangi Munyiri is a dedicated person in his work and promised him special treatment for the outstanding performance.

Mwangi who is famously known as MC Dominic alias Ambassador Alade, has a Diploma in Film and Video Production (Directing Option) from the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication (KIMC), domiciled in South B.

Congratulations fellow colleague on your graduation. MC, you’re a valued, treasured workmate and your contributions toward the successful implementation of our Corporate Communications strategy over the years cannot go uncelebrated.

Mwangi hails from Karatina in Nyeri county. He attended Kirimara boys secondary school which is also in the same county.

He acquired photojournalist skills from the Versatile School of Photography and Video.

Apart from being into media-related work, he is also a Police Officer officer working as a Media Personality at the Administration Police Headquarters.

The DCI employee is an expert in photography. He does shoots for portraits, events, weddings, street photography, photojournalism, corporate, landscape photography, children and families photography with an aim of making the most amazing and impressive images.

The MC also studied at Fix it Brands which deals with printing and branding, providing excellent printing services to individuals & corporate.

He has been into a charitable organization known as Affecto where he acted as a photographerHe began working as a Lead Photographer at Hadithi Films and Photography on January 2018 and still works with them alongside the DCI tasks.

Hadithi films offers a wide range of high-definition videos such as events, real estate, weddings, music, and documentaries videos among other camera-related activities.

The DCI photographer also honed his skills at Hello Kenyan whose main aim is to network communities toward sustainable peace and security. It acts as a Peace incubator for social transformation in Kenya.

He joined International Police Association Kenya Section as a photographer on January 2015. The IPA is an independent body made up of members of the police service belonging to the National Section.

Before his career breakthrough, he worked for a month as a sales agent with Britam from January 2007 to February 2007.
