Speaking in Nairobi county on Friday, December 23, he stated that the ministry had already worked out a plan to ensure that the results are released before schools reopen.

He revealed that the marking of the exams - which ended on Friday - was underway with a number of teachers engaged in the process.

"As we mark the end of the national examinations 2022 cycle today, all the examination handlers and examiners will have a busy Christmas as the marking of KCSE 2022 will start immediately," he stated.

In regard to Form One selection, the PS indicated that the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) candidates would know their high schools on January 16, 2023.

He promised the students that the process would be transparent adding that no one would be discriminated against.

"We want to assure all parents, guardians and learners that we shall be transparent, fair and we shall do the right thing for each child to get a school that they chose and deserve to be there," he stated

On his part, Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) CEO, David Njeng'ere, intimated that the body had been fair in the marking of KCPE promising that the same would be replicated to the KCSE students.

“We are committed to ensuring whatever marks our children get is exactly what is extracted from the answer sheet.

"Our examiners will work with diligence to ensure our children get what they deserve as they have done their part to give their best," Kipsang echoed.

2022 KCPE results were released on Wednesday, December 21, by Education CS Ezekiel Machogu.

Lewis Otieno Omondi and Fwaro Makokha were the best students attaining 431 marks each.
