East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) Member of Parliament(MP) Kanini Kega shared images of his Lexus car while in Arusha, Tanzania on official duty.
From images shared on Tuesday, January 17, it was established that the former Kieni MP had the Toyota Lexus LX 570 model, similar to President William Ruto's signature ride.
The car had Kenyan number plates and an EALA flag.
Furthermore, the registration number of Kega's ride was of the KDG series indicating that the vehicle was barely a year old.
"Ready to serve as your representative in EALA. Yes, there is a flag too! God is indeed good," Kega quoted as he shared images of the black car.
LX 570 is one of the most luxurious Sport Utility vehicles (SUV) in the market right now.
The vehicles are retailed at an estimated cost of Ksh18 million, however, the price could go up depending on the year of production.
Among the special features of the car include its luxurious interior made of leather seats with high-density comfort cushions.
Additionally, the vehicle has special security features such as the hill start assist control, and trailer sways control among others.
"The blind spot monitor is designed to detect and warn you of vehicles approaching or positioned in the adjacent lanes.
'For added peace of mind, the rear cross-traffic alert can help you when backing out of a parking space. It notifies you when vehicles are approaching from either side," Lexus stated on its website.
Also known for its performance, the vehicle is considered an off-road vehicle that can transverse different terrains hence many car enthusiasts and politicians like it.
LX 570 is an eight-cylinder (V8) 5,700cc petrol engine and weighs approximately 2,600 kilogrammes.
Apart from Kega and Ruto, Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja also owns a similar model.
