Margaret Kiiru, the wife of a businessman who plunged into Juja dam, has sought information on the family of the mysterious woman who was in the company of her husband.
In an interview on Thursday, January 26, Kiiru expressed that the body of the woman was yet to be claimed by anybody.
She revealed that the woman's body was taken to Nairobi's City Mortuary adding that no one from her family could identify the lady as she had no documentation with her.
Consequently, Kiiru called on Kenyans with a missing kin to visit the morgue.
"I have no problem getting to know who her family is or who can help us get to know them so that they can also have closure.
"We have not been able to identify the young lady because when she was retrieved from the dam, she had no identification documents," Kiiru stated.
She also asserted that the move would help the woman's family find closure even as she detailed burial plans for her husband.
The businessman is set to be buried on Friday, January 27.
Earlier on, in a past interview, Kiiru had indicated that the mysterious woman was a friend of her husband, adding that he was out on a business meeting that fateful night.
“My husband told me at 7 pm that he was in Juja for a business meeting. I asked what he would want to have for dinner.
“Although I do not know her, I believe the woman who was with my husband that night was a friend, he had so many friends because of the nature of his business," she disclosed.
The businessman and the woman's bodies were retrieved from the dam on January 18.
Police launched investigations into the matter even as preliminary reports showed that the vehicle was in drive mode underwater.
