Two Kenyan women, a mother, and her daughter, were found dead inside their truck in Tahko, Finland, after missing for seven days.
Family members detailed that the duo did not go home one Saturday evening prompting them to look for victims.
After their efforts proved futile, they filed a missing person report at the local police station seeking help to locate their kin.
Following the search, the police who found the duo stated that the women appeared to be sleeping before their bodies were taken to the morgue.
"The deceased were last seen at 4 pm on Saturday morning selling food in their truck. Apparently, after closing the business, it is suspected that they decided to take a nap in the truck based on the position they were found in, sleeping side by side," detailed a family member.
After the autopsy was conducted, it was disclosed that the two died due to lack of oxygen and their bodies had high levels of carbon monoxide.
The police, thereafter, ruled out the involvement of a third party in the death and allowed funeral arrangements to proceed.
Following their demise, family members urged well-wishers to help in bringing their bodies back to Kenya for burial.
"We are kindly asking you for your support to enable us to send the bodies of the deceased to Kenya. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance," the family appealed.
The mother-daughter duo was running a food truck business in a foreign land and it was suspected that they inhaled the gas from the stoves they used for cooking.
On the food truck, they sold Kenyan delicacies and operated under the name Africana Sambusa and they hang two Kenyan flags.
