Philanthropist Karangu Muraya came to the aid of a form one boy, Ian, who required urgent medical attention.

Karangu, who was hosting an event at Isinya, Kajiado County, on Saturday, February 18, was forced to cover the 142 kilometers to Murang’a county after learning about the plight of the boy.

In a statement, Karangu announced how tired he was after the busy day but after consulting his friend to accompany him, he decided to travel at night.

“Though I am not feeling well and am so tired, the photo of this man has touched me and I feel he truly needs our support since my friend Mugunyi Paul has agreed to accompany me, I am traveling to Murang’a right away,” he announced.

Upon arriving, Karangu raised the total amount needed for the boy to undergo a crucial medical procedure to save his life.

He revealed that the student had been diagnosed with cancer. In a photo seen by Kenyans.co.ke, the young boy was lying on the bed with tears of pain rolling down his cheeks.

“God bless you, dear ones, for supporting this young soul, a 17 year-old-man who is a form one student from Kiawambeu secondary school, Kiharu Muran'ga county, who was diagnosed with cancer and who needed Ksh500,000 for surgery.

I thank God because Jehovah has provided the whole amount and by the grace of God, he will get his medications. My God may you heal this kid,” he noted.

This came days after the philanthropist rescued a boy living with heart condition, who is recuperating in hospital.

The boy, Maina, had been living with a heart condition for nine years since his parents could not afford money for his treatment.

Muraya went ahead and pleaded with Kenyans for financial support, who generously came in and constructed a modern house for Maina’s family.

Sharing a snippet of the house, Karangu thanked well wishers for standing with the family.

“Jehovah has done it for Baby Maina's family. We are almost 95 per cent, we will hand it over soon to all who support this ministry may Jehovah enlarge your territories,” he uttered.
