Former Kiss FM presenter and content creator, Andrew Kibe, raised Ksh151,000 for popular content creators Nduru man and Rex Papi.

In a statement on Friday, February 24, the presenter noted that the money will help boost the two in their ventures.

"What I will be sending to Nduru Man and Rex Papi, way to go gents. A little encouragement goes a long way," he stated.

Earlier, he had expressed the need to empower the boy child. Kibe was among those championing for Nduru Man to get a job after his TikTok counterpart Priscilla Gakuru (Pricila wa Imani) was rewarded with ambassadorial duties.

His gesture was, however, met with mixed reactions from Kenyans. Some praised him, while others questioned his selection of the two.

"Empowering does not necessarily mean reinforcing what Nduru Man is doing. It could mean they are being encouraged to seek other ways to make money," one opinion suggested.

Another argued that it was unfair to send money to Rex Papi, who allegedly parades unknown people's faces online without their consent.

"Nduru man is someone in need. Kibe responded in the best way he could. Good job," the opinion criticising Rex Papi was countered.

Meanwhile, content creator Ian Asunya alias Nduru Man is popular for his 'shouting' stunts at different locations. He was once arrested while doing one of his stunts at President William Ruto's Karen residence.

Asunya, in an earlier interview, noted that he was contented as every artist has their luck and opportunities.

In November 2022, Kibe conducted an online fundraiser for Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, impressionist Zakaria Kariuki, alias KK Mwenyewe. The media personality asked the comedian to use the Ksh350,000 to pay school fees and fund other basic needs.

"A few friends and I came together to raise the money, between Ksh350-Ksh400,000, after I recognised his talent.

"We know he is a good artist, and we hope that he can continue doing what he does," Kibe explained.
