Nairobi County Announces 3,200 Jobs With up to Ksh65K Salary; How to Apply

Kenyans interested in working for the Nairobi county government now have a chance to join after it announced 3,134 vacant slots. 

In an advertisement on the county's official website, City Hall announced a number of opportunities ranging from Chief Environment officer, environment officer, clerical officers, senior support staff and support staff. 

Successful candidates will pocket a monthly salary starting from Ksh13,830 to Ksh65,100 depending on the job scale and will also enjoy house and commuter allowances.

For instance, the county government is seeking 2,700 support staff who will earn between Ksh13,830 and Ksh15, 120 with a house allowance of Ksh3,750 and a Ksh3,000 commuter allowance.

The senior support staff will be eligible for a salary of between Ksh14,610 and Ksh16,250 and will be entitled to a house allowance of Ksh4,125 and a commuter allowance of Ksh3,000.

Clerical officers will pocket a monthly salary of between Ksh25,470 and Ksh33,950, and get a house allowance of Ksh6,750 and a commuter allowance of Ksh4,000. 

Environmental officers will earn a salary range of between Ksh38,270 and Ksh51,170 with a house allowance of Ksh16,500 and a Ksh5,000 commuter allowance. 

On the other hand, the Chief Environment officer will pocket between Ksh49,000 and Ksh65,120 with a house allowance of Ksh28,000 and a commuter allowance of Ksh8,000.

Interested candidates are advised to create accounts on the Nairobi County's website's recruitment portal at cpsb (dot)nairobi(dot)go(dot)ke(slash)jobs(hyphen)page

While at the portal, they must populate their bio-data, including educational qualifications, professional qualifications, work history, and experience as well as their membership to professional bodies.

Additionally, candidates ought to prove that they meet the requirement of Chapter Six of the Constitution on Leadership and Integrity.

On the jobs portal, candidates are able to access the full details of the various vacancies and their job grades. 

The candidates are hence required to click apply adjacent to the vacant slot. 

"Only shortlisted and successful candidates will be contacted and shall be required to produce originals of their National Identity Card, academic and professional certificates and transcripts during interviews," read the statement in part.

The application window for the various vacancies closes on March 13, 2023.
