Kameme FM presenter Muthee Kiengei came to the rescue of a 23-year-old blogger, who was arrested by police for allegedly spreading false information.
In a statement dated Wednesday, March 1, the presenter noted that the young man was a victim of people who wanted to use him.
"Today I secured the release of a young man, a promising future which was doomed by people in the industry who thought that being successful before them is a crime," Kiengei stated.
He alluded that the blogger was subjected to online slavery by musicians, friends, and enemies to tarnish and bad mouth people for their own interests.
"Part of their target being rising people in the industry," the presenter disclosed.
The blogger was accused of blackmailing people online especially musicians as a way of getting money.
He initially masked his face on Facebook to conceal his identity as he allegedly shared false and damaging information about others.
After the release, the presenter hosted the blogger at his home where the blogger confessed, showing messages and photos sent to him for the purpose of damaging the image of others.
Kiengei's gesture was lauded by his fans who emphasised that the blogger needed guidance to avoid falling into the trap again.
"Thank you for standing with him despite all, he needs a real father to guide him. Continue doing good, there is a reward," one fan added.
Conclusively, Kiengei assured Kenyans that the man had changed his ways.
On Thursday, March 2, the 23-year-old took to his Facebook page to announce that he was a changed man while sharing a screenshot of messages he received.
"Today I am a truthful man," he declared.
