On Thursday, March 16, Daniel Waweru, brother to Nahashon Ng'ang'a - a tout allegedly pushed out of a moving matatu on Thika Super Highway - revealed that the deceased argued with the driver a day before the fatal accident.

Waweru narrated that he received information about his brother's accident on Sunday, March 12.

"My brother had a commotion with the driver whom they were working with on Saturday night, and then the commotion extended to the following morning, that was on Sunday, which nobody knows how it ended," he stated.

His brother sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to the Kenyatta University Referral Hospital, where he was admitted in the ICU until Wednesday, March 15, when he passed away.

"We do not have the evidence to clarify whether he was pushed, or kicked out or jumped on his own or was knocked down by a vehicle,” he added.

At the same time, Ruiru Sub-County Police Commander, Alex Shikondi, clarified that a vehicle captured on social media rescued and rushed the victim to the hospital.

He, however, pleaded with the members of the public who witnessed the accident to help law enforcement officers in investigations.

"We still haven't tracked an eye witness who saw the accident occur, but we have opened the file, and we are urging the members of the public to record statements,"  Shikondi stated.

Mary Wangui, the deceased mother, indicated that she received a call from a stranger, informing her that Ng'ang'a was seriously hurt.

Before that phone call, Ng'ang'a worked as a tout with Lopha buses and was supposed to return after work on Sunday, March 12.

"He left here (Sabasaba) on Friday for Nairobi, where he worked three times a week as a tout with Lopha Sacco.

"On Saturday evening, he called me and told me that all was okay and that he would return home after his shift ended. That was the last time I heard from him,” Wangui narrated.

The family called on law enforcement officers to expedite the probe into the mysterious death of the tout as they waited for postmortem results scheduled for Friday, March 17.
