President William Ruto on Tuesday, March 21, appointed former Kenya Broadcast Corporation (KBC) News Presenter Bonnie Musambi as the new Director of Coordination in the Office of the State House Spokesperson.
While sharing his gratitude to the Head of State, Musambi explained that Ruto had honoured him with a rare opportunity to serve the country.
"My immeasurable gratitude to you President, for my appointment as Director, Coordination at the Office of State House Spokesperson," Musambi noted.
The media manager added that he will do everything within his power and mandate to perform to the expectation of the appointing authority.
"I promise my full dedication and loyalty to you and all Kenyans. To my family, fans and political supporters, I will never let you down," Musambi stated.
Musambi will be working with State House Spokesman Hussein Mohamed to coordinate all communication matters at the Office of the President.
The former KBC is also expected to work with the Head of Presidential Communication Service, David Mugonyi, on modalities that will ensure that President Ruto's messaging is accurately done.
Musambi is also the founder and Managing Director of Sang'u FM which broadcasts in Kamba language.
"Currently, Sang'u FM is available on location, Mobile App and its websites where its programmes are well outlined," Musambi explained.
The journalist contested for the Kitui Central parliamentary seat in the August 2022 General Election but lost to Dr Makali Mulu.
"My political journey begins officially! Despite open and daylight massive rigging in Kitui County including Kitui Central constituency, I emerged as a strong number two out of 7," Musambi told Journalists after the polls.
He also lost a chance to become Cabinet Administrative Secretary (CAS) after President Ruto left him out of the list of 50 nominees.
Lindah Oguttu and Mwanaisha Chidzuga were among the journalists who were also left out by Ruto.
