Second Lady Pastor Dorcas Rigathi on Sunday, April 2, revealed plans to salvage the youth who cause destruction of property during the mass action.
An avid defender of the boychild, Pastor Dorcas confirmed revealed that she would launch programs to rehabilitate the young men to give their life meaning.
She argued that youths are easily hired to cause mayhem because they lack vision for their future.
"I have come to speak for the boys who are being abused and those taking teargas; the ones who are killed. I have been wanting to turn around, rehabilitate and course and validate their dreams," she stated.
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua's spouse declared that it was vital to engage and guide the youth positively since are leaders of tomorrow.
"We must come out clean and make sure that what we do is for the progress and advancement of the future generation," she remarked.
Meanwhile, she condemned the raiding and looting of businesses and the destruction of property. Pastor Dorcas explained that the common citizen suffered the most and not the leaders the protestors religiously followed.
"How many businesses that are being destroyed belong to the people who are in power? The moment one or two were touched, we saw them rise up. They have the power, and the means to be able to speak for themselves," the Second Lady claimed.
Her sentiments came amid concerns over the number of youth who have been injured or lost their lives during the mass action protests.
Among those who died include William Mayenga, a third-year student from Maseno University, who was gunned down by officers after a gang of youth allegedly attacked a police station.
The Azimio coalition and human rights groups condemned the killings witnessed during the mass action protests and the excessive use of force by the police.
However, a number of police officers have been lauded for their humane acts during the mass action protests.
