They immediately rushed to the bathroom, broke the door and found her lying down holding the shower pipe.

She was holding the shower pipe in her right hand which also had burn bruises on the first finger. She also had bruises on her chest,” the police report noted.

She was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

The officers stated that they were conducting further investigations to determine the cause of death of the 22-year-old.

The news elicited reactions online with many lamenting that there were many cases of young people dying under mysterious circumstances.

"The rate at which our young ones are dying is alarming," Kristine Kioko stated on Facebook

Others argued youths across the country to be careful about the friends they spend time with and engage in activities that would nurture them.

"Youths should be cautious and sensitive about the friends they make. Mysterious deaths are claiming the lives of many young people," Julias Onyango noted on Facebook.
