Undercover detectives on Thursday, April 6, raided an apartment in Uthiru along Waiyaki Way in search of drug peddlers.
In a statement, the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) indicated that the early morning exercise began by luring a boda boda rider believed to be part of the ring.
The police intimated that their intelligence reports were confirmed after confiscating 222 sachets of heroin and other addictive drugs in his jacket.
According to the police report, the boda boda rider was tasked with distributing the drugs to some clients.
"The suspect led the detectives to his accomplice's house -aged 44, where a further granular substance was recovered.
"Also recovered was dry weed with a street value of Ksh100,000 wrapped in a manila shopping bag and two digital weighing scales," read the statement in part.
Further, the police indicated that the duo was transported to the Muthaiga Police Station for questioning by a team of elite anti-narcotics unit officers.
The two were also set to be arraigned in court on Tuesday, April 11, to answer to charges of drug trafficking.
On the other hand, it was revealed that a similar raid was done in Riruta Satellite on Wednesday, April 5, where cocaine was confiscated,
During the raid, another man aged 40 years was arrested.
Police cautioned the public to be vigilant as they intensify their investigations and arrest of drug rings in the country.
