Ngina Kenyatta, former President Uhuru Kenyatta's daughter, was recorded walking in Nairobi Central Business District (CBD), with reports claiming that she was devoid of her customary VIP treatment.

In the undated video, which surfaced on Saturday, April 29, Ngina was seen crossing the road along Kenyatta Avenue.

In the viral video, which attracted over 8,000 views on Twitter, the daughter of former President Uhuru Kenyatta carried an umbrella and appeared to attract little attention from boda boda riders across the road.

She also seemed to run her errands unbothered in Nairobi CBD, accompanied by two men seemingly of foreign descent.

However, Kenyans.co.ke could not authoritatively and independently authenticate the date and errands Ngina Kenyatta was running in Nairobi.

The video attracted mixed reactions from Kenyans online, bearing in mind that Ngina is known for living a private life.

She last made headlines on Thursday, September 16, 2021, after delivering at a city hospital. However, the event was kept under wraps despite reports indicating that Uhuru and Margaret Kenyatta visited her at the facility.

Following the CBD video, a section of Kenyans wondered why Uhuru's eldest lawyer walked unguarded. Speculations were rife, with some tweeps aligning the incident with Inspector General of Police Japhet Koome's confirmation that Uhuru's security was scaled down in accordance with the National Police Service protocols.

"Once the president has retired, the commander is a superintendent of police.

"An officer of the rank of an assistant Inspector General was with the retired president. So how do you expect an assistant Inspector General to report to another assistant Inspector General," he insisted on Thursday, February 3.

Besides security issues, others lauded Ngina Kenyatta indicating that she emboldened humility.

During the visit, Uhuru was confronted by neighbours in Kileleshwa demanding relocation of Jubilee headquarters.

"I am a resident of this area. My grandchildren were coming and I had to tell the driver to take them away because of the teargas. We are asking the Jubilee party with a lot of respect given that you are the former President to move these offices," the resident pleaded.

"We did not come here because we wanted any trouble. I hear your pain because you are a neighbour now being disturbed by people you have no business with. I pray that the government and the police will also understand your pain," Uhuru responded after months of declining to be dragged into the Jubilee wrangles.

During the meeting, Pratt briefed Ruto on her agenda and her organisation's role in advocating for the rights of physically challenged individuals in the country.
