9 people were on Monday morning seriously injured after a 33-seater matatu rammed into a Toyota saloon car along Waiyaki Way in Westlands, Nairobi.
The Star reports that the impact from the hit forced the saloon car off the road, where the matatu then rolled on top of it, destroying it completely.
The driver of the saloon car survived the accident, suffering minor injuries. Some of the passengers in the CBD bound matatu were injured and rushed to M P Shah hospital.
Police arrived at the scene to clear the wreckage and direct traffic that build up as a result of the accident.
They cautioned motorists to be careful on the roads especially since the heavy downpour was making roads slippery.
