Nine Kenyans have become millionaires after they luckily won mega jackpots from various betting companies.
Top on the list is Samuel Abisai from Nairobi who became the latest dollar millionaire after he won the grand Sh221 Million SportPesa Mega jackpot on Monday.
Mr Abisai correctly predicted the outcomes of 17 games and became the first Kenyan to win the Mega Jackpot which was started in September 2016 at Sh100 Million.

On the same day, 24-year-old Ahmed Ali took home Sh41 Million ($397,865 USD) from SportPesa after he predicted 16 out of 17 matches.

In March 2017, a 23-year-old student and mother of two, Quintet Nimo Chemei who hails from Mt Elgon, won Sh31 Million Mega jackpot from SportPesa.
Ms Chemei, was announced the winner, alongside Julius Kerich from Kericho, after they both correctly predicting 16 out of 17 matches.
According to Chemei, she used a friend’s phone and Sh100 borrowed from her father to place the lucky bet.

In December 2016, Hotel Worker Peter Byeyon from Nairobi was named the winner of Sh36 Million SportPesa mega jackpot bonus after he correctly predicted 16 out of 17 matches.

In the same month, 32-year-old Boda Boda rider Geoffrey Kipng’etich from Nakuru County also got Sh12.6 Million from SportPesa.

In November 2016, 62-year-old Joseph Onywera from Kisumu got Sh20 Million from Betway after he used Sh100 to bet.
Mr Onywera had earlier been left by his wife for being unable to provide for the family.

In July 2016, 32-year-old Francis Kaguri from Kitale Town received of Sh23 Million Sportpesa jackpot.
Mr Kaguri who sells tree seedlings used Sh100 to bet and became the jackpot winner.

In September 2015, 50-year-old George Mwangi from Nairobi took home Sh29.5 Million jackpot from SporftPesa.
The former banker and ex-footballer with Umeme and Barclays FC in the 80s won after he correctly predicted 13 jackpot games.
