Details of the case reveal that the caretaker of the rental found blood stains on a bedsheet and polythene bags on the staircase while conducting a routine clean-up check after the guest’s exit.

The owner of the rental stated that they were further prompted to contact the police after they entered the unlocked room and found blood stains at the door.

A team of law enforcement officers led by the Director of Criminal Investigations from Kasarani reported to the scene and have since marked the crime scene and are conducting further investigations into the incident.

However, at the time of publishing this article, police were yet to track down the suspect, who was described to be wearing a black jumper and black jeans.

While at the crime scene, DCI officer Jimmy Kamari issued a stern warning to rental apartment operators to be vigilant requiring them to record details of the occupants besides having CCTV footage.
