The thieves were depicted stealing valuables from the victims before casually walking away, leaving the residents shell-shocked and stranded.

Reports indicate that two of the suspects would later be gunned down on Saturday.

The duo was suspected of being part of a gang terrorising Kibra residents at night using guns and other crude weapons.

Additionally, the duo was accused of shooting to death, a 21-year-old footballer from Kibera last week. The young footballer was reportedly shot three times by the culprits.

According to Kibra residents, the gang had killed four residents raising questions as to why the relevant authorities had not swung into action.

At the time, Lindi Member of the County Assembly (MCA) Jairus Omaya called for an operation to be initiated to track down the suspects.

The area OCS had issued a warning to the gangs roaming the area emphasising that the police had enough information on those involved.

"Their days are numbered, I have been here all night and day and we have intel on the suspects. I cannot say much since investigations are ongoing," he stated.

Kibra Member of Parliament Peter Odero assured the residents that their security was a priority. He added that he was working with relevant authorities to rid the constituency of gangs cropping up in the area.
