A family in Garissa have appealed to the government for help after their kin was abducted in the middle of the night.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Ali Ismael, claimed that four police officers stormed into the house deep into the night, taking with them their kin.

"On February 7, at around 2.30 am one of our members was abducted by people who are known to us, and they were police officers" Ismael commented.

This happened after two Toyota Proboxes parked at their homestead, and from them came four officers who then barged into their home.

Unknown to the startled family left behind, that moment would mark the last time they saw their family member. Since then, it has been a waiting game, but unfortunately, their patience has been in vain.

Thus, after 48 hours had elapsed, the family saw it fit to raise the issue with the authorities.

However, the family are forced to keep on waiting as each agonizing second passes since no action has been taken. They worry whether he is alive or dead.

Meanwhile, the family has been left wondering how the person who has closely been working with them in an ongoing court case, can mysteriously disappear under unclear circumstances.

This has further raised eyebrows, as the case involved top authorities in the area.

Responding to the matter, the Garissa police commander John Sangarumo confirmed that they had indeed received the report of the missing person.

Even though he has assured the family that in case the officers hear of anything they will get back to them

"We are appealing to the family and the community members to please give us time to carry out investigations," Sangarumo stated.
