The deceased was from Rift Valley but married to a man from Embu County who is also a medical practitioner.

Her friends who reacted to her death online, urged those in unstable marriages or relationships to seek counselling and make decisions that are in their family's best interests.

Additionally, they called upon relevant authorities to ensure couples have access to necessary guidance and counselling to avoid such untimely deaths.

Police officers ferried her body to the Embu Level 5 Hospital morgue as family and friends await the postmortem results.

The man left burial instructions for his family and demanded to be buried on Valentines.
