The National Assembly has published guidelines that will guide the vetting of 27 newly appointed ambassadorial nominees with the latter issued with two directives.

In a notice by the NA dated March 23, the 27 nominees were directed to obtain various clearance certificates from government agencies and consequently furnish them with the committee mandated to undertake the vetting.

Among the documents that former CS director General Ezra Chiloba and his team were directed to present before the Committee on Defence, Intelligence and Foreign Relations were clearance letters and certificates from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.

Other clearance letters and certificates required are from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) and the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
