"That this Honorable Court be pleased to issue an order directing the Director General National Transport and Safety Authority to transfer title/ownership in favour of the Applicant in respect to the following motor vehicles," one of the cases read in part.

The respective county governments have been urged to recover the immovable assets to ensure they are forfeited to the National government.

The Court Cases
In one of the cases, the Asset Recovery Agency sought to recover assets from two individuals and cash held in a bank account. The said items were all alleged to be proceeds of crime.

"That this Honorable Court be pleased to issue an order declaring that motor vehicle registration number KCZ **6L chassis number BAVFN6****SY00977 be forfeited to the Government," read part of the ruling.

On the other hand, the court directed two business owners to surrender two vehicles and Ksh558,453 all listed as proceeds of crime.

Two businessmen from Mombasa County were accused of acquiring the assets through crime. Some of the vehicles to be recovered include a Prime Mover, Van Gaurd, Legacy Wagon, S.Wagon, and a truck among others.

Besides cars, the duo had land and apartments in Mombasa County.

In another case, two business owners were asked to forfeit funds acquired through crime. The two were asked to surrender two cars, KCP 3**B and KDC 1**M to the government.

Conclusively, the last accused was asked to forfeit Ksh1,317,032 held in a local bank allegedly acquired through money laundering.
