Residents of Waitwa village, Kandara constituency are a grieving lot, after the body of a five year old girl who went missing from her home was found.
The minor who disappeared last week on Friday had allegedly gone to play with other children after she came home from school, little did her parents know it would be the last time they were seeing her alive.
Speaking to The Star, the girl’s father Boniface Kinuthia said that when their search bore no fruits, they reported the case to the police.
The body was found with a leg and both hands missing.
The shocking incident comes two months after another child disappeared and her body discovered in a coffee plantation.
The child had been defiled.
Residents in the area have expressed fear over the existence of molesters who seem to be targeting children from the area.
Police investigations into the matter continue.
