Al Shabaab Kills Own Kenyan Fighters

Somalia's Al Shabaab militia group on Friday claimed that it killed two of its own fighters from Kenya for spying.

Reports indicate that the executed Kenyans are natives of Eldoret and Mombasa, accused of facilitating the killing of the group's top leader in 2014.

They are said to have aided in providing information that led to the killing of Adnan Garaar in US airstrike.

"The Islamic court in the Bay and Bakool regions carried out" the executions of "four spies who worked for the US and Kenyan Intelligence Agencies," Al Shabaab's radio Al Andalus said.

Multiple sources indicate that the Kenyans were executed alongside other two Tanzanian nationals in the open.

The United States has been launching numerous drone strikes against Shabaab leaders, neutralising many Shabaab commanders including, Godane.
