Aladwa Comments Now Shift Jubilee to Their Own

Jubilee legislators will be disowned if they make utterances that could spark violence in the country.

Leader of Majority in Parliament Aden Duale warned leaders in their camp saying that the coalition would not tollerate such remarks.

“As we condemn Aladwa let jubilee legislators know that the coalition will disown anyone who makes utterances meant to incite Kenyans into violence,” Duale said.

Speaking at a funds drive in Tana River, Duale also challenged CORD to declare whether they supported or denounced Aladwa's comments.

Former Mayor of Nairobi, George Aladwa was recorded at a rally in Kamukunji on October 20 uttering what has been perceived as a call to violence

“...its almost 2017 and we as ODM have one more bullet. This time round, there will be trouble if we win the election and they rig from us. For Raila to be President, a few people must die,” Aladwa said.

CORD through its Leader Raila Odinga has since downplayed the controversial remarks by Aladwa even as investigations ordered by Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko have already been launched into the matter.

A section of Opposition leaders are also on record challenging the Jubilee coalition to first deal with Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria who asked his constituents to use machetes (pangas) on those who were opposed to National Youth Service projects.
