Battle Looms As Martha Karua Sues Kuria

NARC-Kenya Party Leader Martha Karua has now moved to court to sue Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria over his defamatory remarks.

Karua wants Kuria stopped from making further comments claiming she fixed Deputy President William Ruto in his case at the International Criminal Court. In the suit Karua also seeks compensation from the legislator for damaging her reputation.

At a prayer meeting for the Deputy President held on Sunday, Kuria claimed that Martha Karua and himself sought for witnesses against Ruto, adding that he was willing to testify at ICC.

On Monday Karua gave the MP a 24-hour ultimatum to apologize for making slanderous and false allegations against her. Instead, Kuria dared Karua to proceed with the suit saying he had enough evidence to support his claims.

Kuria also included CORD Leader Raila Odinga and Kisumu Senator Anyang' Nyong'o in the allegations, noting that the two were also involved in fixing the DP.

“I am ready to be the first one to go to The Hague, and Martha Karua, Anyang’ Nyong’o and Raila should follow to clear the air because we all know Ruto and Sang’ are innocent,” said Kuria.
