Bloody 'Torture' Chamber Discovered in Nairobi

A recently abandoned house in Lavington Estate, Nairobi, was raided by police officers on Saturday after a tip off from the public regarding the suspicious house.

The house which was suspected to be a torture chamber, had bloody walls and curtains stained with blood spurts.

Officers recovered a mini Ceska pistol, 33 rounds of ammunition, several gun provisions and two M16 assault rifles, whose serial numbers were taken to the Director of Criminal Investigations for ballistic examination.

The house is located in Daykio Heights Apartments, which is a high-income residential estate in the prestigious Nairobi suburb, and was supposedly owned by a man and woman in their mid-thirties who were later joined by four other men.

“They looked jovial but never interacted with other people much,” the apartments' caretaker told the Nation.

A lease agreement of the peculiar house was discovered by Dagoretti Criminal Investigation chief Joseph Ondoro, who then forwarded it to the Registrar of Persons for identification of the tenants.
