A woman was stabbed with a kitchen knife by her husband after she found him in bed with another woman in their matrimonial bed.
The incident happened in a town in Bungoma County, after residents raised alarm before police intervened. The residents wanted to lynch the man but the police came to the rescue.
The woman, who is now lying in the Bungoma referral hospital with cuts and bruises, said she was shocked to find her husband in bed with another woman after she came from their ancestral home.
But according to the other woman, she claimed that the man assured her he was single and had left his wife because of a failed relationship. However, the husband who is now in police custody, will be arraigned in court after investigations revealed he indeed stabbed his wife.
Eye witnesses said that the woman had attended a family gathering but came home without the husband knowing, only to find him in the act. When she sought answers, the man took a kitchen knife and stabbed her.
A few months ago, a woman in Buruburu Estate stabbed her boyfriend to death. The young woman identified as Wanjiru Kamanda, is said to have stabbed 24-year-old Ahmed Farid after an argument over an SMS.
